Sandals Saint Vincent – Worth It

Is Sandals Saint Vincent Worth It?

When Sandals Resorts announced a new property in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, I was intrigued. A lesser-known island in the Southern Caribbean with no high-rise resorts and raw, untouched beauty? Count me in.

After two visits to Sandals Saint Vincent, I can confidently say—yes, Sandals Saint Vincent is worth it. Absolutely! And here’s why.

An Island That’s Truly Off the Beaten Path

Saint Vincent feels like a Caribbean secret. There are no mega-resorts or cruise port crowds here. Instead, you’re met with rainforest-covered mountains, hidden waterfalls, and some of the most vibrant coral reefs I’ve seen.

The island is unspoiled, peaceful, and authentic—ideal for travelers looking for something different. It’s a special place for special vacations. And Sandals has done a beautiful job preserving the natural feel of the island while still offering its signature five-star, all-inclusive experience.

The Resort: Sandals Saint Vincent -Worth It

Nestled in a lush valley and fronting a sparkling bay, Sandals Saint Vincent feels like a hidden paradise. Surrounded by rainforest cliffs and turquoise water, the setting is undeniably stunning.

The design is modern and chic, yet perfectly blends into the natural beauty of the island. You’ll find innovative new restaurant concepts, luxe accommodations, and thoughtful local touches throughout the property. It’s one of the most visually striking Sandals resorts I’ve experienced.

Favorite Room Types: Spacious, Stylish, and Serenity-Filled

I’ve had the pleasure of staying in two beautiful suite categories here:

  • Lady Palm Club Suite with Fitness Room and Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub
  • Lady Palm Club Swim-up Suite with Media Room and Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub

While both were incredibly spacious and comfortable, the swim-up suite stole my heart. There’s something magical about stepping from your patio into the pool for a morning dip or sunset swim. Each room had thoughtful details, high-end finishes, and ample space to unwind—making them feel more like private residences than hotel rooms.

Two-Story Overwater Bungalows & Private Paradise

Sandals Saint Vincent introduced two-story overwater bungalows to the Sandals portfolio—complete with glass floors, private pools, and direct access to the sea. These suites are jaw-dropping, and while I haven’t stayed in one yet, I absolutely peeked inside and added it to my personal wish list.

They’re ideal for honeymoons, anniversaries, or that once-in-a-lifetime splurge.

Dining That Delivers More Than Just a Meal

Saint Vincent is home to some of the newest Sandals restaurant concepts, and I was blown away by the variety and quality. But one spot stood out to me the most—Buccan.

Buccan serves elevated West Indian cuisine that felt both familiar and new. The flavors reminded me of meals my husband’s Caribbean family has shared over the years, and dining there felt like a love letter to the region. It’s bold, rich, soulful food that honors Saint Vincent’s culture in every bite.

Other dining standouts included healthy options at Greenhouse, creative pan-Asian dishes at Gatsu Gatsu, and of course, Blum’s for my daily dose of strong Caribbean coffee—always served with a Vincey smile.

Island Adventures You’ll Talk About Forever

While the resort is incredible, the island of Saint Vincent itself deserves to be explored. On one visit, I spent a day adventuring to Dark View Falls, where twin waterfalls cascade down volcanic rock into crystal-clear pools. The drive up was full of winding roads, local chatter, and tales about the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean. I even heard stories about Johnny Depp’s time on the island, shared with a wink and grin by locals proud of their Hollywood connection.

Another day, I set sail for the Grenadine island of Bequia—a postcard-perfect island with pastel houses, white sand beaches, and a charm all its own. This day trip was one of the highlights of my stay and a reminder of how special this region is.

Small Touches That Sandals Saint Vincent Worth It

Sunset views, spontaneous rainbows, and morning walks with coffee in hand are part of the magic here. I still scroll through my camera roll and smile at the photos I took—especially the ones with Sandals team members, whose warmth and kindness are unforgettable.

The staff at Sandals Saint Vincent are truly the heart of the resort. From housekeeping to bartenders, spa attendants to waitstaff and concierge, everyone I met brought genuine joy to their work. Many took time to share stories, island recommendations, and laughter that made me feel right at home.

Their energy is infectious—and it’s part of what makes this resort so special.
