Reconnect at Beaches Turks and Caicos
Have you ever just had one of those years where you just needed a vacation? Recently we experienced just this. When we were finally able to sneak away to Beaches Turks and Caicos it was our first family vacation in 12 months (we normally try to do at least two a year). This vacation also followed a year of challenging situation after challenging situation. Needless to say, we were simply exhausted and in desperate need of a break. As soon as we arrived at the resort it felt like a weight had been lifted off our shoulders. Nothing beats arriving to friendly Caribbean smiles and a warm “welcome home” to help you relax.
A resort suite can really elevate a vacation experience and our suite was amazing! We stayed in the Key West Two Story, Two Bedroom Suite. These suites feel more like your own beach house or villa rather than a typical resort suite. The main floor offers a primary bedroom, kitchen and living room/dining room combo. The second floor offers another bedroom with either two full size, or one king size bed and a second bathroom. Our suite had two full size beds and balconies on both levels with the upstairs balcony offering partial ocean views! This room category layout varies from suite to suite and views vary based on their actual location in the Key West Village. One of the highlights of our trip was playing games at the dining room table after a busy day snorkeling and enjoying the Pirate’s Island Water Park.
Dining at Beaches Turks offers plenty of choices, which helps keep everyone happy and makes life much easier on parents. The hardest thing is to select from more than 20 restaurants. We have our favorites though with Barefoot by the Sea at the top of the list. Nothing beats beachside toes in the sand dining for a family of beach lovers.
One thing that keeps us returning to this resort, outside of the amazing staff and long list of amenities, is fabulous Grace Bay. The beach here is truly fantastic and one of the best we’ve enjoyed. Between the clearest turquoise blue water and the white, powdery sand we spend most of our days at the beach. Normally we enjoy a variety of activities including resort entertainment, snorkeling excursions and the kids have loved the kids camp and tween meet-ups. This visit though we all opted for family time at the beach more than any other activity. Sunsets from the beach are spectacular as well and a favorite family photo spot.
Our vacation was exactly what we needed to recharge. We were able to reconnect as a family at Beaches Turks and Caicos while adding more favorite vacation memories. Beaches Turks really stole our hearts on this trip, even more than before!
