Antigua

Antigua

If you close your eyes you can hear the waves gently coming ashore. Laying in your hammock enjoying the island breeze, there are only two thoughts cross your mind…

“This daiquiri is amazing” and “I nailed this one”

Welcome to Antigua, a Caribbean jewel

Antigua is located in the southeast Caribbean. This small island nation may feel more off the beaten path than some of its more widely visited neighbors. Yet it still offers all of the necessary elements for the perfect Caribbean vacation or honeymoon.  How can you go wrong selecting an island that literally has a beach for every day of the year?!?

Couples also looking to combine their wedding and honeymoon into one fabulous destination wedding trip also have a wealth of romantic options here. Starting with the luxurious all-inclusive resort wedding and honeymoon packages.

Antigua’s dynamic combination of sun-soaked, positive, island vibes with a touch of increased privacy has allured the likes of Giorgio Armani, Eric Clapton, Richard Branson, and Oprah Winfrey have all called it their second home… who can blame them?  We’d LOVE a second home in Antigua!

A playground of vacation possibilities

There are roughly 54 miles of coastline with beaches and stunning cliffside views to visit and grab an insta worthy selfie.  For the water buffs Antigua offers a number of amazing water excursions.  Some of our favorite excursions here are water based. There is a catamaran cruise that circumnavigates the island with stops for snorkeling and a beach BBQ. Literally the perfect island day! Of course an excursion to Stingray City where you can swim with rays also makes an amazing day and awesome vacay memories.

To accompany the traditional island activities of snorkeling, boating, and SCUBA, Antigua also offers a rainforest canopy ziplining tour, or, for those of you that would prefer to stay more firmly on the ground, you can find everything from Jeep, ATV, E-bike, kayak, and even safari tours of the island.  Combining dramatic land and seascapes Devil’s Bridge National Park where the crashing waves from the open ocean have carved out a natural bridge, cliffs, and “blowholes” in the limestone, providing breathtaking backgrounds for photos and exceptional views.

For the less adventurous there is great shopping and a pretty extensive history to learn.  If you think history on vacation is too boring just know that Antigua’s swashbuckling history is anything but boring!

With sights, activities, and relaxing beaches literally everywhere you turn, the only question now is, how will you fit it all in and still have plenty of time to relax?

No matter how you choose to spend your time here, one thing is definitely certain.  Antiguan spirit and hospitality will set the bar high for all future vacations!
